I going to buy tires this weekend and there some much out there. It is a toss up between the Dunlop 8000,Toyo, or the Nitto Extreme. I have a set of brand new 98 oem five spoke rims that I want to put the tires on. Anyone has any insight on any of these tires. There all just about the same price.

Thanks

I have the Dunlop SP 8000's on my 96 Maxima. Great tire. My size rims are 17X8's 235/45 ZR rated. Great on dry pavement and not that bad on wet pavement also. Fernando

I just bought
215/55WR-16 Kumho ECSTA Supra 712 tires from tirerack. They cost me $325 shipped.

Not sure if they are that great of a tire, but I only need them to pass inspection, last till august, and be use for winter tires.

I also purchased the Kumho ECSTA Supra 712, stock size, from TireRack for $330 including shipping. I've only had them for about 2 weeks; so far they seem to handle good but I haven't had the right weather to really test them. They received high ratings from TireRack for their wet and dry traction but are not recommened for winter (snow) driving. From what I have read they also wear pretty well. I think for the price, $75 per tire, they are hard to beat.
