Front Right Htd 02 sensor heater HELP

I was showing a 0901 code so i changed my Front Right Htd 02 sensor heater. Now after driving it for about an hour or so, the check engine light is reshowing the 0901 code. I hope i change the right O2 sensor. I have already replaced the rear o2 sensor. I o2 sensor that i recently changed was accessable under the hood on the passenger side. Is that correct? Or is the sensor right by the rear sensor. Please help, this engine light is annoying the heck out of me. And my engine is still hiccuping.

0901 is caused by the right front O2 sensor. It is between the engine and the fire wall before the precat. If you replaced the one between the engine and the radiator, that would be the left front O2.

Front left O2 sensor is the front exhaust manifold, closest to the front bumper. The right rear O2 sensor is located on the back exhaust manifold closest to the firewall.

Slammed, have you checked the actual wiring? Like, look at an FSM and read what voltage each sensor should be getting with a multimeter. After replacing the sensors and still throwing the codes usually indicates a wiring circuit problem.

i replaced it with a "front right 02 sensor". damn, now i gotta remove it and put the old one back and now replace the "front left 02 sensor"?

The "right" and "left" are when you're sitting in the driver's seat facing the SAME direction as the car. You just replaced the front left (driver's side) O2 sensor The front right is the one by the passenger firewall (near the oil filter). Look here: http://www.courtesyparts.com/A32_O2-sensors.html It shows you the Front Sensor Passenger Side (Right Hand Side)

According to http://www.oxygensensors.com both of the front ones are the same (only the Bosch O2 sensors are different for the front). What company made your O2 sensor?

The connectors should be the same, only the length of the wire should be different. http://www.oxygensensors.com ships the sensors that have the long wire so they will fit both of the front. If you get OEM sensors, they have one that has a shorter wire length than the other so the wire's length is a perfect fit. The sensor and connector should be the same.

i ordered my front right sensor from everythingnissan.com. they told me that the sensor was OEM. i recieved it was bosch, so im assuming that is OEM. the connectors are different for the right and left front o2 sensor. so now i going to reorder a bosch (right) from oxygensensors.com. i hope that solves my problems. my ecu is also throwing a 0515 code in addition to my 0901. Any ideas to what the 0515 code is? couldnt get it from the link that is stickied.

OEM is NTK. Not bosch. Bosch might just have an OE design, meaning that it's like OEM, but NTK is what your car came with from the factory.

According to the Haynes manual, 0515 is the EGR valve or circuit

I replaced both front sensors...If one is gone the other may do the same soon...Was an easy replacement, and I installed Bosch sensors. The front ones are IDENTICAL .No more problems, no more codes. I replaced first the KS ( I still think that the KS was ok,but the O2 sensors problems...) but Im happy now .

#1 - Front Left (circled)
#2 - Front Right
#3 - Rear
#4 - Don't Know

I dont think my Front Right and Front Left O2 sensors are the same. I have already replace my Rear O2 sensor (#3). I recently replaced the Front Left (#1, circled) thinking it was the Front Right. The one that is remaining and the one that needs to be replaced (#2) is different than (#1). I ordered a Front Right and the part that I got only fits into (#1) which is Front Left. Please Please Please Help.

You have a 99 Max right? http://www.oxygensensors.com says that the front 2 are the same except for the Bosch brand (2 different part numbers). Call up or visit the place you bought it from. They should be the same...

I have codes for all 3 sensors and the EGR valve....I havent gotten around to trying to fix it yet. what would I replace to fix the egr valve code? If it helps, here is what the print out said:

P0400, the PCM has determined that a malfunction exists in the EGR flow,

P0150, PCM has determined that a malfunction exists in the electrical circuit for O2 sensor 1 in bank 2

P0130, PCM has determined a malfunction exists in the electrical circuit for O2 sensor 1 in bank 1....

Check the 15amp O2 sensor fuse that is located in the compartment under the steering column. It may be blown.

Not sure why it's different. Did you pull out the right wires?

You can ask here about local dealers: http://forums.maxima.org/forumdisplay.php?f=15 or you can ask someone local to you for help
