i made my own christmas present, new mod: CUSTOM IN-CAR CAMERA MOUNT! (pix + video)

so out of randomness, i tried to install a custom in-car camera mount. i tried to follow cheston's intructions for modeling and end up with this:

top:

middle:

bottom:

remote controller:

the mount is secured by the triangle base. took me awhile to find the best fit location. to the mount is used for my sony camcorder and sony digital camera. the camcorder is about 3 years old, and the digital camera is about 1 year old. so the quality is probably not too good.

video clip >> http://home.comcast.net/~happyricefob/smallrun.mpg
just a 60% throttle small on-ramp highway run. it was raining so i didn't wanna go WOT. this is just a sample of the video quality.

thoughts anyone?

StickyPOD

Nice.. I like it. Good picture quality too, seemed quite steady.

Btw, I use the following mounts from StickyPOD. Their prices are quite low compared to grip equipment made for cars by other manufacturers ($1,000+). StickyPOD lets you tape from outside the car as well.
