Help please something is serious wrong with my car
i was on vacation and my dad called me and said he broke my car.. I dont know what he did or anything.. But when i go in first gear, or reverse for a couple of inces there is a big boom and then i can go forward or reverse for the same distance and it will go boom. So i put manual tranmission fluid in it cause it was low.. It leaked around the left side/driver side cv shaft around where it goes in the tranmission.. One of my friends said it may be the u joint.. But I dunno....
Thanks,
Tyler

lol U joint???? As far as I know we dont have u joints, you usually see u joints in rear wheel drive cars and all wheel drive cars. Most likely you got a broken axel. Did he hit something hard or crash in to something maybe a curb?? If its leaking at the axel you prob got a broken axel. Try taking some pics.
You may either have a:
1: broken axle...either the shaft or at the inner CV joint....least comman
2: your diff. carrier bearings wore down down soo much they blew up inside of your tranny and little metal chunks went around inside of your tranny and wrecked your tranny for good.
How many miles on the tranny ??
Have you noticed any dripping on the driveway/garage floor before the car broke ??

I dont think the problem was the carrier bearing because would i hear grinding when i go forward. All i hear is a loud thump and i can go forward again and it will make it again in about a foot or 2. I believe it the axle because it is very loose where i can move it around... The tranny has around 90,000 miles on it..
