can i put spings on my car w/o shocks/struts?

can i put spings on my car w/o shocks/struts?

i was wondering if i cud put springs on my car with out puttin on shocks or struts? ive heard they would blow after a little while... is that true?? should i wait and save for shocks/struts?

It really depends on how low you go. Sprints or coilovers wull put so much stress on your stock shocks and they will blow in a short period of time. In that case you should go with H&R since the drop is not as bad as the sprints, so your shocks will last alittle longer. I would suggest you do it all at once any way.

i heard you kill the shocks/struts real fast when u drop car and dont use aftermarket shocks. but people have done it. And your spelling is horrendous

well my gf just got my h&r stage 2 springs! yay! do i need a spring compressor to put them on?

no eibachs are little less than sprints and all...i think 1.6, or 1.7 compared to teh sprints and maxspeed's 2 inch.

I had sprints over stock struts for a year. I switched them out since the passger side started leaking after one year. Even if the stock struts don't blow, they are not designed for lowering springs. Maybe you can get away with using the stock ones, if you get like Maxspeed springs, or H&R. Since the drop is almost stock.

ya ill save up for struts and shcoks while i have my springs on cause by the time they break ill have enough to buy some struts and shocks, good plan?

Just remember how much installation runs, and the fact that you'll have to do it twice if you get shocks later, unless you install it yourself.

theres a place around here where they have a deal for shocks and struts installed for $800
