Owned By a Turbo Civic

Yeah I lost by 1/2 car to a turbocharged civic. Great way to bring in the new year huh? Funny thing is that I was completely out of nitrous. I ran him N/A and only lost by 1/2 car by the time we reached 100mph.

Here is the story...

New Year's Eve, I was coming home from my girl's house and notice a lowered white civic with a pretty messed up fender. I think "Psss... ricer" We get to a redlight and he revs and I rev back to let him know it was good to go. I take him from the line and look back and thought, "why isn't he farther behind?"

Then I see him catching up and notice the big a$$ intercooler followed by a PSSSTTT... sound.

Long story short, always make sure the bottle is full. I would have murdered him if I had anything left in my bottle. I gave him the thumbs up and went on my merry way.

Beat a WRX during the day though (how I emptied my bottle.)

Whats so wrong about running nitrous on the streets?! Its no worse than running a turbo/supercharg'ed car on the street...

As for getting caught while using nitrous, thats pretty tricky. The cop has to look in your trunk, see the bottle on (know what it is) and PROVE you were using it.

What if the bottle is empty. They can't do ****. I think that's how it is

Also it's illegal to drive with nitrous in the car, isn't it?

It is not illegal to have nitrous in your car so long as the lines are not hooked up. Well mine are, thus it is illegal. If I was to get pulled over that day, it wouldn't matter because I had an empty bottle.

If I were to get pulled over today? I dunno, ticket?

running nitrous on a public road is illegal. Supercharger and turbos are not. Thats what makes it worse. Its okay to have it installed on your car, but the bottle must be closed.

Most people street race for the fun of it. If your in it to MAKE money your probably not to wise. You would have to go for some pretty high stake races to make up for all the money you spent on mods. Racing is for the thrill of it- if you make a few bucks back that you spent- all the better.
