water temperature acting crazy!

Hey guys I recently removed my intake manifold and I stripped one of the 4 bolts on the front of the intake manifold. I drove around with a leak from the manifold it makes a whinning sound, like air is seeping out. Well I looked down at my temperature guage to see it rise when I push on the gas and it goes down once I let go of the gas. Is the leak in the intake manifold doing this?

I wouldnt drive around with a leak in the manifold...the manifold has to say at a certain pressure (22 i think) or you can really damage your engine...damage i mean past past any kind of fixing

I do know that for a fact..the Manifold pressure has to stay at 22...it was a big deal when I did my VI installation because I made sure i was carefull with those front bolts

No...Manifold vacuum is a good thing and a leaky manifold will prevent proper vacuum. Many different systems operate off of that like EGR, EVAP, brake booster and others. If there is not proper vacuum present in the manifold it could throw those systems out of wack...

Even water temperature, I also noticed that my brakes were kind of weak.
