How can I get just a 1" drop?
How can I get just a 1" drop?
I want to lower my max but the roads around DC are such crap that I just want a 1" drop...what's the cheapest way to do this? I haven't seen any springs with those specs. Thanks!
no idea, but 1.4 (H&R) wouldn't be that much of a difference in ride comfort, would it? and in plus, if you're planning to drop it just 1", then i would recommend not to drop it at all. Maximas are oddly high stock. My 1.5 drop doesn't even look dropped. That's y i'm switching to Tein S's.

cut a coil on each spring perhaps

I was talking about the stock ones..maybe u thought I was talking about lowering springs?

H&R springs and Tokico Illuminas ride awsome. They can be adjusted to give a soft, caddy like ride up to a nice firm sports car ride. Your setting would depend on your driving style, roads and wheel tire combo. They soak up NYC roads nicely. It's the best combination of strut/lowering spring I've ever ridden on.
H&R springs and KYB GR2's give a nice ride as well and can handle bad roads while keeping your ride fairly comfortable.
The drop from H&R's as some have said is about 1.5 inches and makes the Maxima look finished, not slammed. They compliment the car's looks.

Do you have any recent pics of the new setup that you are riding on, sounds pretty sweet. One more question would be what settings are you currently running on for the illuminas?

In all honesty, I love the ride with the H&R. No more harsh than the SE springs, really, and much improved body roll and appearance.
