It is best to buy the KYB dust boots. Some, including myself have bought dust boots from autozone and modified them. But if your question is KYB dust boots or no dust boots, then definately KYB dust boots because if dirt gets in your struts you are through

u can use stock, but u have to customize them and then if they dont fit 100% and dirt gets on the shaft and goes into the strut.. u better have some money saved b/c with tim thell blow out..

trust me get the ones from kyb. there gonna run u about 15 a piece. i dropped my car using kyb agx and sprints. i got the ones for he maita and ford mustang, like it says to in the faq's. but no.. its cheaper and easier.. trust me.. find a kyb dealer.. if u have no luck... let me know.. i have a dealer out here who can get them next business day.. shipping would be all u too.. prob run ya about 60 all together from east coast to u.. but its a fall back option...

I've had my car lowered on Sprint/AGX for a couple weeks now...didn't know I needed dustboots. Is that long enough to start causing damage?

How many miles ya got on your car ?

When we did our suspension, we got the dustboots, and we really needed them the old ones were all cracked and falling apart, what we didn't do was replace the mounts.

BIG MISTAKE! About 400 - 500 miles after we got them installed, the car didn't handle as well as it had when we first got the suspension installed.

If you're going to have someone do the install for you, they'll charge you almost the same price to install just the mounts as they will to install the struts, springs, dustboots and mounts.

If you're upgrading your struts, upgrade everything from springs to mounts to even dustboots.... depending on what springs you get, it might only be another $200 or so, but worth it.

Man...that is another 100$ at least. Ive driven maybe 800 miles without dustboots in LA. Any idea if thats bad enough to cause damage? When do ppl start noticing their struts went bad?

also driver did you get camber bolts for ur car? are eibach good enough?

How long have u had this suspension setup?

When I'm looking for KYB dustboots I look for 1995 Mustang front and 1995 Miata rear?
