WSP B-Pipe w/ stock muffler - Qs

Im going to get a Warpspeed Y-pipe and B-Pipe with resonator soon. Is the B-Pipe going to bolt right up or am I going to need to do some cutting and welding? Anyone have this setup? If so how does it sound compared to stock?

The B-pipe is supposed to bolt right up but mine didn't . Mine required some bending and cutting. It does not sound much louder than stock, mostly a little deper and raspier.

it will sound stock as long as you dont have a y-pipe but as soon as you get a y-pipe , the stock muffler will sound like crap , it will putter because to much exhaust will be going to the crappy stock muffler. It will sound deep in cabin but outside it will sound like pure Shet.

Anachronism, did you get the wrong one or do they all need to be cut and bent to put on?

He got the right one, they just have poor fitment. From what I hear and have experienced, every b-pipe made for the car has poor fitment.

Mine fit fine. I modded the bpipe to eliminate the cast iron "s" and welded in a o2 sensor bung.

It was the right one and it was supposed to be a direct bolt on but it was not even that close. When I first put it on the muffler tip was toching the bumper cuttout. I cut out about an inch where it joins together and it was still crooked but not touching the bumper. I had a muffler shop bend it and my muffler was more or less straight, but the oxogen sensor was hanging very low, it had me worried because it was the lowest point on the car --

When I had my SFCs installed the shop cut the pipe and rotated it so the oxogen sensor was sticking straight out to the side. My Warpspeed Y-pipe fit perfectly so I was very disapointed when the B-pipe did not fit. I wish I had just sent it back but I snapped the studs on my stock B pipe when I took it off and needed something to put on my car.

I think it sounds fine with the stock muffler.

My setup with dual 2.5 tip muffler and y-pipe sounds nice and gives off a deep rumble. I have to admit it does get a bit droney at certain rpms but that can be easily avoided just by driving with slightly higher revs.

Would the y pipe with APEXi WS not sound terrible then?

I think for those of you that had fittment problems probably got the wrong bpipe since they say they make bpipes that fit stock mufflers and ones that fit center inlet mufflers, maybe you got center inlet mufflers so it was off a bit. Thats my guess

My experience to a T. Worst mod for my max, complete waste of money. My warpspeed cat-back bangs against the body, the muffler stickss 3 inches out of the cutout, the muffler hangs down ~3" from the bumper and contacts pavement frequently, the flange that bolts on to the cat is a flimsy piece of crap, I could go on forever.

Dallas was not helpful.

But i will say that their y-pipe was 100% perfect.

There are two b-pipes people. Everyone complaining about thigns being pushed back to far sounds like you decided to up the diameter and order the 2.5" ?? versus the 2.25. Keep in mind that the 2.25 bolts up to the stock muffler. The 2.5 does not!!! so if you had to work at it to get something to fit.......I'm going to bet you ordered the 2.5??

Do you remember what you ordered??

got the same setup, but after market muffler. the fitment is alittle off and hangs low on the right side right by the rear right wheel. you might also have to cut some pipe off the end where the muffler goes cause it comes long so depending on your muffler, you wont be short piping just cut off the extra.

as for the sound, its raspy for my, and i also do that the wsp y aswell and hollowed cat

I ordered the whole 2.5” cat-back from them, muffler and all. Shipped in the same box and everything. There is no excuse for such poor fitment.

Chris:

Why don't you give me a call? The B pipe should not be hitting anything and the muffler should only stick out an inch or so, we have tweaked the pipe a bit since July so we may need to get you a different one.

I won't be in tomorrow but if you call Monday I will be in.

We made our 2.5" B pipe to fit any center inlet after market muffler, we made the 2.25" to fit up to the stock muffler.
Our new 2.5" catback which has not been released yet is designed completely different with an offset inlet and quiet muffler.

all you need to do is find an old exhaust pro, they can lift up the car, shake things around and get it in there good and tight for you. I have the WS ypipe and WS b pipe with magna flow muffler.

i have had banging and knocking ... got it fixed ... made some changes to the car last month, and the exhaust had to hang loose in the car to fit correctly. it smacked around, made sorry noises in the cabin, drove it 130 miles like that back home. exhaust pro fixed it all up again.

(note: the exhaust pro here looked at all the warpspeed products and said they were top notch, and VERY well made. Both y and b pipe fit like a glove)

take your girl to a shop that will fix it up for you. no problems at all, nothing to it. a good shop can cure this in their sleep.

my setup is loud and raspy as well, im still at a loss as to what i should do.

cut off magnaflow muffler and put on dynomax super turbo, didnt like that. boxed it up and shipped it back.

next plan when i get some extra change is to add another resonator in the b pipe in the rear section connecting to the muffler. will see if this helps.
