It costs 3x more than what a local muffler shop will charge you. It's a cosmetic mod, not performance.

The 2nd one doesnt sound too bad...uneven sounding kinda 350Zish. But it sounds pretty high pitched instead of deep. :dunno:

aren't those supposed to be like flowmaster's. Dude, you've got an import, go with something like Greddy. Sounds and looks great.

if you really want to throw that much money away on an exhaust do something fun like have 2 electronic remote cutouts put into your y pipe one for each header heh...then split the pipes after the cat and do a 2 1/4 b pipes to magnaflow mufflers...or go catless..maybe throw some small resonators...see how it sounds...

Since when did the type of car dictate what kind of muffler you can and cannot have? Just because you have an import, doesnt mean you cant run flows. Ive done it on my previous car and i will run them on the max. Flows have an inherent sound of low/deep not high pitched, whiney and annoying like Greddy or any other can. Of course that is just my opinion...

and michaelnyden i suggest if you like the sound clips, go to your local exhaust shop and tell them exactly what you want done. I gaurantee you, something even like that whole kit will not run you over 450. Net saving of ~300.

As far as flows go, if you want a loud deep mufler with some nice droning , go with the 40-series Delta, if you want a higher pitched, more import sound, i suggest the 60-series Import muffler (ive heard it on Studmans 3.5SE), or, if you wanna go the dual exhaust route, i suggest the same muffler im getting, the 80-series Camaro style chambered.

I dont think you should get the custommaxima one either, not kocking the company but go to your local muffler shop and tell them what you want and get a qoute, i bet it will be cheaper.

The custom maxima exhaust sounds a little ricey to me. Just get a shop to do it custom. It will be much cheaper, and you can control the sound more by what type of parts you want on the car.

Yeah, any normal muffler shop can easily do this job with no problem.
