5 speed
Okay, my max ia a auto right now and i think that it is pretty quick but could be faster if it was a stick. I am thinking of converting to a stick cause of all the good reasons. Do you guys think it is worth the time and money or should i stick with my auto?
The only problem that I will have is that I would have to get a 2k 5 speed tranny cause my engine is 2k and a 4th gen tranny would not cut it. is a 2k tranny more expensive than a 4th gen tranny?
thanks for the advice

It's the same thing. How would a 4th gen tranny not "CUT IT"? I believe the part numbers are the same and if a tranny from a 2k or 2k1 fit on a 4th gen, why wouldn't a 4th gen tranny fit a 2k or 2k1? Get the 2k1 tranny if you can though, it has LSD.

i dont know if ALL 2k1's have LSD. also you could get an i30t trans that would almost definately have LSD. It's worth doing the swap if you can do most of the work urself. otherwise its going to cost anywhere from 1500-3000

O.K her we go again.. the auto would be faster only if you have some serious hp. behind it.. but if not the five is a little more sportier and
fun to drive... im tired of this question.. it causes me a lot of grief.....
