Ironically, I was just looking at that today and thinking the same thing. I too would like to get one but their written description is sooooo unprofessional/sketchy. It turns me off. Anyone have luck with these?

I didn't mean for my description to sound "unprofessional or sketchy", I am not an alarm shop or professional so I have little to no experience with how remotes normally work. I try to the best of my ability to copy remotes remotely as the process is intended to be done with the car present to fine tune it. As I put it in the last GD for the key, you are paying for the key, the remote is a freebie, if it works, great, if not, sorry. We did not purchase the alarms that go with the remotes so it can not be guaranteed to work with another system.

O.k., I understand. But, as a whole, what has the success rate been like?

I won't be able to give a good answer to that as I haven't gotten much feedback from customers. Best answer that I can give is I have not gotten any complaints until the GD, I just couldn't get image's remote right apparently.

My friend has it for his 98. They said the key was programmed but it didn't work. He just sent it back and is waiting to get it back.

I guess no news is good news. Do you have a rough idea of how many have been sold and how many have come back 'unprogrammable'? Is the programming something we could do ourselves with the correct instructions or does it require tools/skill we don't posses?

I have sold approximately 35 keys to date. None have been refunded until "image" from the GD. Most times returned for programming, including the GD was 4. Programming is done through a programmer machine designed for use with these remotes. There is no other way to do it.

The results sounds pretty good. I think I might take a chance. A few more question for you first please:

I didn't realize you had done a group deal on these. What was the savings? Will you be doing one again?

It is hard to make out exactly what is on the key in your pictures. I see an isolated circular button which I assume is the open/close 'switchblade' button. And then I see a 'quad' of four buttons. Can I assume these are Lock, Unlock, Panic, Trunk? Is the pattern the same as the stock remote? Anything else I am missing?

I pre-appologise for this question - but I am picky! lol. What does the other side of the key look like? Your two pictures only show one side. Can I get a picture of the other side please?

Does it take the same batteries as stock?

What if someone had an aftermarket alarm, could the key be programmed for that?

Are these for Maxima and/or Nissan only or might these work for other cars? I'm asking for my freind who has a '93.5 Supra.

Thanks a million. Sorry for all the questions. You can e-mail me if it is easier.

The GD was for $35. I won't be doing another GD on these as it is just too much hassle.
The round button is to flip they key open, the four buttons are 1. Lock 2. Unlock 3. Trunk 4. Panic (Going top left, top right, bottom left, bottom right) I can change the order if you wanted but 1 and 2 have lock and unlock imprints on them. The back of the remote is bare, nothing really. The flip key takes two CR2025 batteries.
Aftermarket alarm, if it is worth the money you paid for it, it won't work as this remote uses a single frequency whereas newer/better alarms have multiple frequencies. The key blanks that I have are just for Nissans, I don't have any that will work for a Supra.

Mojo, I sent you an e-mail but I am thinking you didn't get it due to the .org's e-mail feature being down. Would you mind e-mailing directly or leaving your address here? Thanks.

Well, after 12 posts, no one has answered vinaypatel's original question. I am very much considering one of these keys. Could someone please verify the success they have had (or not had) with their alarm being transfered to the key? I would feel better at least hearing a few success stories before trying it myself. Thanks guys.

Well, I am not having any luck apparently. So I guess I will have to order without testimony first.

So before I order, let me ask you a few questions mojo. On your site when you mentioned you had luck programming a '98 GLE, did you have 100% sucess? All 4 buttons took the code from all 4 stock buttons? All four buttons work fine from the switchblade? Lock, unlock, trunk pop, panic? Can you still roll down the windows from the new key? To pop the trunk, do you need to hold the trunk button for a few seconds as on the stock remote? And lastly, can you e-mail me/post a picture of the back of the key? Thanks a lot.

Sorry, I took them off the website. Its just too much hassle. I'm not an alarm shop or anything like that so its very difficult for me to be able to get all the remotes right. I made do as best as I could, sending the remotes back and forth but its just not worth it.

On my 98 GLE, all 4 buttons did work but not 100%, I'd say about 90% of the time and I was able to roll down the windows when I held onto the unlock button as well. Popping the trunk, it didn't seem like I had to hold it down as long as the stock remote. Can't remember too well.

Are you saying they are not for sale any more? You have to be kidding me. You've had that key on your site forever. And I took forever to think about it. So the week I decide to buy one, you stop selling? What kind of luck is that? If I order one immediately can I please get one? I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.

I don't have a store, everything is done online. With my work schedule, it is very difficult to meet up. Shipping within NYC only takes 1 day, it'd take longer to set something up to meet.
