Finding red tape for taillight conversion?

I would like someone to tell me where to find this tape I see people have used to make the orange taillight portion red. Also if someone can instruct me how to apply it correctly. Thanks

Are you talking about the red transparent tape that is used if the light is cracked?

If so, go to any automotive store.

Just paint it. I was looking all over for the tape and couldn't find it so I just painted it.

Ya I suggest painting it as well, which I will probably end up doing as well. I have searched high and low, and I can't find the tape. I even went to place that Oracal's website said they sold it, and the guy gave me some dumbass look and said he didn't have it!

I'm gonna try a racing shop in town, and an exhaust shop just to see if maybe they have it or can get it. If not I'm painting them.

Why would those places even have it? You have to go to a hobby shop or a place that sells paint and crayons and ask. It's NOT TAPE!

I am talking about the tape to convert the orange color to red (not to cover cracks). I have seen pics of other maxima's using this tape, I just don't know where to get it.

thanks

It's VINYL, transparent, red vinyl that MOST hobbyshops sell. Even wal-mart has it.

Thanks Big D. I'll check out wally world (wal-mart for the confused). I have paint in case this doesn't work. I'll keep everyone posted after I complete the job, tape or paint.

Well, im sure using Testors 1605 Candy Apple Red transparent spray will work. I just bought a couple cans at wal-mart for 2.97 a piece. Doing All-Reds on my 99, tired of the red/clear look...
