alignment

I was wondering if anyone has the factory specs for a 97 maxima? Also, I was reading through the forum and saw this :

"for an alignment(4-wheel and the maxima can only be aligned in the front) "

Is it true you can only align the front wheel? If true, why?

Thanks!

Only the front can be aligned. I have spoke to a mechanic specifically about this. The only ajustable point in the rear is for camber, and these are just bolts. So no matter what any mechanic tells you, only a front end alignment can be performed.

Specs for an alignment are in the FAQ's. I posted the statement you quoted about only being able to do a front wheel alignment. The computer aligment is what I was referring to, called a thrust alignment.
