is high idle after cleaning the TB normal ?

Just simple answers please

Today i finally got around to clean the throttle body and also i've changed
the fuel filter.

Well after i started the car and than put it in gear i've noticed nice smooth idle
and no more steering wheel shaking,
but when in Neutral the idle stays around 1000 rpm's
BTW i'm auto.

Before i had very low idle - at stoplight in Drive it was around 500rpm's
in Neutral it was 800rpm's

During the TB cleaning i connected the MAF sensor and started the car and sprayed the cleaner inside the TB - check engine light came on
than I reseted it - could it be the cause of high idle ?
I've read somewhere that after resetting the ECU it can idle rough for a while.

thanks

Nick

When I cleaned my TB & IACV the idle did go up, but it settled down to normal level. I didn't want to mess around trying to adjust the idle so I left it alone and it became normal after like 2 weeks

well - things are almost back to normal it idles right on the 650 mark in Drive ans around 900 in Neutral. I was bit skeptical about cleaning the TB but it does solves plenty on driveability issues
vibrating steering weel is gone

now i need to concentrate on fixing the shimmny at around 75mph

well if it doesn't go down to 700rpm in neutral, like recommended, just disconnect the BROWN connector from the TPS while the car is running and adjust it with the plastic screw on the IACV.

OT, but for the shimmy at highway speeds, have your tires balanced. Solved my problem when I got new tires.
After cleaning my TB, my idle comes back down after a few days.
