camber question
camber question
I was considering lowering my car about 1.5 - 2 inches. I was told that I would need a camber kit to fix the camber changes. I thought getting an alignment would fix this problem. My main concern is tire wear and was wondering if anyone else had this problem.
Thanks
Thanks
i have maxspeed cut 1 coil.. drop is about even with sprints. u didnt get a cabmer kit. i check my tires every rotoataion at 3-4 k.. pretty even tire wear. when ig ot an alignment, my camber was off.but not my much.. half a degree or so over the factory range. u shuold be fine without one. if you do decide to get camber fixed.. just get the camber bolts..40 bucks from custommaxima i beleive. u wont need the 200+ camber plates.

I didn't have the time that day to do it, plus he said something about opening(slotting) the holes in the shocks where they bolt to the wheel, to allow adjustment. I'm kind of reluctant to cut my new AGX and since the tire wear was good, I think I will hold off on the cambering for now.
INGALLS (or it could be INGALS) are the camber kits that you want. they go for around $100 per set and you'll need two sets, front and rear. I had them on my previous car (Eclipse) when i lowered it with Eibach springs.
Sometimes, the camber kits slightly raises your "lowered" car.

Thanks for the help, I think I'll get those camber bolts instead of the plates. But the only problem is, I can't find a place to buy a kit for the rear. I checked
http://maxmods.dyndns.org/index.php?MaximaCamberKits
and all of the bolt kits listed were only for the front. If anyone knows where to get a rear kit, the info would be much appreciated.
