Stripped the bolts in the bottom of my auto trans.

this happened back when I was replacing my crank shaft pulley. I was looking for the trap door on my trans and unscrewed the wrong bolts. When I put them back in, I stripped the holes, (not sure how, i was only using hand power). Anyway, i've been watching my trans since this happened about 1.5 months ago. Now its starting to leak fluid at the joint where the 2 bolts held the trans together. How can I fix this? Is there some kind of heat resistant gunk that you can put in screw holds so that they're not stripped anymore or anything? thanks

here's a pic showing the bolts/holes i stripped. the ones to the right of the black metal strip, not the one to the left.

the larger bolts in the pic are the ones i'm talking about.

you mean the pan bolts for the A/T? I did the same thing. I'm doing a tranny pan drop for maintainance tomorrow and I'll see if i can extract that thing. I'll see if i can grab the little nub that's left with a visegrip. Maybe you could drill and tap a new hole somewhere off to the side? I might have to do that too cause there's a little bit of seepage where the bolt is missing. You should definitely get a new gasket as that may be the problem if you took the pan off.
Good luck, I'll let you know what happens with mine

no, i mean the bolts that hold the trans onto the engine. Like where the torque convertor is.
