Brake Help

Hey

i have a 98 gxe max....

and i am hearing a griding kidda sound from the front, i took my wheel off to check the braks and they look fine still have pad left and roders dont really have grind mards in them...so i am thinking about changing the roters out and pad what do u recoment, i just need starndard maybe sloted roters not brembos or anything just yet....

you might need to put some antisqeel thing in between the pad and the metal plate, but prolly your brakes are old, and worn out.

The antisqeel is a big help. You may want to check to see if one side of the brakes are wearing out faster than the other.

well your problem is prolly that you have mostly metallic pads...what you need to do is take the pads off...get some sandpaper...and sand the edges of the pads...not the actual pad surface but the edges...that is where the squeaks are mostly coming from.

Yeah metalic pads suck for braking, and if you have them I would just replace them.
