How to remove windshield wipers?

I'm sure this has been asked before but I don't have access to the SEARCH feature..

I bought some Bosch wipers to replace the OEM Nissan ones..I followed the directions in the manual but I was unable to remove them..it said to "push" the small tab but I tried pushing it away and pulling it towards me..

Are you suppose to slide the wiper in one direction while pressing the tab to remove it? I inspected the wiper arm where the wiper attached and it seems like I'm suppose to guide it towards the windshield..

Help is appreciated

It took me like 30 mins to change my wipers lol. They are pretty tricky, you just gotta push the tab in, and then push them in the right direction , i dont remember very well now though.

Are you trying to replace the wiper or just the rubber blade?

The wiper.

The little tab that sort of sticks out has more room on one side than the other so I pulled it towards the side that had the more room..didnt seem to make a difference except for putting a big dent in my finger

Unless they are different than aftermarket, just push in the above mentioned tab, then pull on the entire wiper blade housing and slide it toward the bottom of the windshield (where the wiper shaft connects to the car. Took me 5 minutes. The end of the post that the wiper/bracket attaches to is a hook.

I finally managed to get those darn factory wipers off. The tab didn't do anything in helping me remove it so I went between the wiper and the arm and jammed a wooden skewer in there. Worked great.

Anyways, I put the Bosch's on. Do those Bosch's only need to slide in to the hook or is it suppose to be locked in? I only slid them in..
