Ok, so here is the problem...if I turn on my maxima, lets say now in the cold (this hasnt happened in the summer time, and its also the first time this happens) If i turn it on, and put it to reverse right away, or even by letting it warm up for a couple of minutes, it shuts off!!!!! completely! If it doesnt shut off, and the car temp meter isnt dead in the middle, the car rev's as if the engine and the gas pedal have a mind of their own. Now if i wait about 20 minutes + for the car to heat up to the middle point, it works fine! I use to think it was the transmission because of the engine "reving" and it turning off, but, its weird that it works fine when its fully warmed up. I think it may be the fuel filter??? Does anyone have any suggestions, or know whats going on?? Its Auto tranny too fyi...thnx

 

I'm guessing it's your coolant tmep sensor.

 

that would cause such a thing? because i mean, even if it wasnt fully warmed up, the car should still be fine w/o behaving the way mine is acting.
