O2 sensor replacement
my rear o2 sensor behind the cat. is messed up, and the dealer we bought it from said he'd pay for it, but we're getting it done locally, and the dealer said it shouldnt be more than a few hundred bucks, but the places here are talking 400 and up...so im curious, does the 400 bucks sound reasonable including parts and labor? or would it be easier to buy one and put it in myself? help me out if you can

Most oxygen sensors cost between $40 and $80.
labor takes less than 10 minutes when the car is up on a lift

All you have to do is:
- Unplug the old sensor
- Use an O2 sensor socket (or 22mm wrench) to take out the old sensor
- Put anti-sieze on the thread ONLY of the new sensor
- Install new sensor
- Plug in the new plug
The rear O2 sensor isn't that important since it doesn't control the air/fuel mixture so you can take your time. After you're done installing the new one, reset the CEL so the light goes away.
