electrical

yesterday when i started my car my aftermarket panasonic deck like when i started the car it went bright then a second later it went dim. then i took the face plate off thinging it was not on all the way and tryed it again and the same thing happend. my gauges and clock etc seem to be lighting up jus fine
ne 1 that could help thanx

It's probably your headunit. Which one is it? Btw this is in the wrong forum.

have u had your alternator fixed by the dealer just so if u dont know there is a recall on those things i had the same problem too but after i had it serviced no more dimming check with your dealer

Sometimes when it's real cold out, the Liquid Crystal Display will "blurr" until it warms up. What I do when it's cold out in the winter time, I take the faceplate with me until I drive the car again. Do you live in a cold climate? Another thing you may want to check, is the contacts where the headunit and faceplate connect to each other. See if they are dirty or bent in any way.
