i was driving my car for the first time all day lastnight.... through my neighborhood (slowly)... and my CEL pops up. since i just installed my new tranny a few days earlier, i figured it had to do something with that. anyway, i get to the bank, and i check my codes... 05-05. wtf? anyone know what could have happened? why did the cel come on but it give me a clear code?

i got the same code, but i took it to Autozone since they check it for free.
and i got three codes comming out: knock sunsor, o2 sensor, and something else that i forgot about.

 

hmm... well, my KS is new... and i reset it and it has not come back on yet. a false code maybe?

 

yeah, it can be a false code..
try to find a place that will check with CEL for FREE.
i went to Autozone and they check it for free.
try a local mechanic. the next time you get an oil change, ask them if they can check it for free.
