Gains from an Apexi SAFC????

I have the opportunity to purchase a new uninstalled Apexi Super AFC from a friend of mine. What I'd like to know is this -- Will a lightly tuned N/A 98 SE see any gains?? By lightly tuned I mean a Y-pipe and CAI.

Anyone else already have one?

i had one on my 240sx, didnt do much but look cool, you really need a wideband 02 sensor and a dyno readily available to see any gains. just my .02

With just those two mods, you wouldn't see any gains. Not enough to even record on a dyno anyways. It really is only beneficial for boost or nitrous, or for heavily modded N/A cars. i/e, on my car, I can't wait to get the emanage (basically the same thing) tuned. My A/F is ugly because of the FMU and boost. For the mods you have, the factory ECU can more than compensate.
