Automatic and Y Pipe

Is the Y pipe worth it if I have an automatic? Can you tell the difference and when? Thanks.

Why do people think that because a car is AUTO it won't get any faster? I mean autos suck if you have a choice of getting a manual but they are still fun, sometimes.

i was going to as well but heard budget's for about 200 shipped is better than the warpspeed. Drew's maxima site states the aluminum mendrel bent is suppose to suck.

but good luck to ya. ill save up for a budget

I didn't see that being anywhere! What are you talking about?

Quoted from Drew's site ---

Warpspeed Y-pipe (mandrel bent, T-304 Stainless Steel)
Description: Claims to outperform all other y-pipes. Stainless steel doesn't rust. No "bees in the can" noise due to a lined flex section. Customer service has been somewhat poor in the past.
Possible problems: Taking months to get your pipe. Note - If they have pipes in stock you should get it pretty quickly, if they are out of stock you could possibly have a long wait. Like many companies, when something is out of stock it will always be in "soon".
Cheapest price: $275 from http://www.warpspeedperformance.com

Warpspeed Y-pipe (mandrel bent, aluminumized steel)
Description: Claims to outperform all other y-pipes.
Possible rusting issues, but they do have a 3 year no rust through guarantee.
Cheapest price $200 from http://www.warpspeedperformance.com

Warpspeed Y-pipe (non-mandrel bent, aluminumized steel)
Description: No "bees in the can" noise due to a lined flex section. Gains might not be quite as good as other pipes since its not mandrel bent. Customer service has been somewhat poor in the past.
Possible problems: Taking months to get your pipe. Note - If they have pipes in stock you should get it pretty quickly, if they are out of stock you could possibly have a long wait. Like many companies, when something is out of stock it will always be in "soon". Rusting issues.
Cheapest price $175 from http://www.warpspeedperformance.com

it lets your tranny shift alot faster, therefore you don't loose power inbetween shifts. It also supposed to extend your tranny's life.

Why do you guys knock on autos so much. Its a marvel of engineering. Yes, they have a higher power loss but they are extremely consistent and very durable. Check my homepage. I'm making 210 HP with y-pipe, cat, intake, catback. I would say 10-12HP comes from the Y. Mine is budget BTW.
