hard shifting

hard shifting
lately when the rpm's jump and it goes to shift into next gear its been getting jumpier each day, the jerk between gears that is...i have an auto, wat could i do to fix it? anything i should look into?

Mine is jerking really bad now. Check engine light is on and i dont' really want to drive it. So i would go get it checked by a mech before something more serious happens.
