I know these are both on the FAQ pages, but they don't really tell you how to do them.
1) Put a 97 grill in a 95. I know you have to shave, but how do you shave it? What do you use?
2) Putting fog lights in a non-foglight car. I don't have fog light holes so I need a new bumper, but after I do that, do I just splice them into the headlight wires? (I want them to go on whenever I turn my headlights on)

1) you have to shave the little parts of the bumper that stick up just between the headlights. You can use a knife or a dremel and carefully trim them.

2) You cut out the holes for the foglights in your bumper. The foglight kit comes with lights, brackets and a new stalk. The wiring is already in the car, you just cut, plug, and play.

Or you can smash them flat with a small hammer, carefully...

have you checked out the angel eye fog lights at custommaxima. there are nice just took out my stock fogs and put them in my existing holes.
they look really nice a few of my boys are switching over immediatley and cheap compared to our stock fogs and much, much prettier.. easy to hook up on to the battery, ground and a turn on wire that could could connect to your headlight to make them come on when you turn the lights..

Any GXE with an automatic transmission should have the foglight wiring.

It's easy to check. Look for an unused connector taped to the connector for the bumper lights, in the bumper.

If you're planning on switching bumpers, that would have a nicer overall look and no cutting would be required to the bumper or the grill if you got a 97-99 bumper. All depends on what you want it to look like and how much you want to spend...

i have an automatic gxe and my car did not have all the neccessary wiring. all maximas do have the wiring, but for some gxe's like mine, no connectors. it's in the thread i made for when i did mine a few months ago, and in one other person's thread. the ones that do not have the connectors have a random connector that doesn't fit anything in front of the battery tray. those wires can be tapped into to get the power, but the rest has to be all done by splicing and such.

Yep...should look much nicer, too

Oh, and, while you're at it, upgrade to the 97-99 headlights too
