steering wheel shakes so badly - it is scary
I'm about to throw in a towel , push the car off the cliff or even park it under the tree and pray for heavy storm.
Yesterday i put two brand new Falken 512 tires up front ( have KUMHO hp 716 in rear) got all four wheels balanced and went for the ride on city streets - the car rode beautifull
I though wow !!! my loose steering problem that have been such a nightmare is finally gone ....
but today i got on the expressway and i got smacked with cold reality:
at 60mph steering wheel started to shake violently - i mean side to side and up and down movemants - the front end of the car shakes to.
I have new rotors up front , new control arms and bushings , two front OEM SE rims are brand new, aligment was done less than 5 weeks ago
my right passenger side camber is 1/2 degree off - aligment tech said it could be bent hub. Toe is at 0.08' deg well within specs on both sides
i even used torque wrench to tighten the wheel lugs to 87ft lbs
my axles have 130k on them - could it be the cause ???
anybody have any suggestions ? car rides very nice below 60mph but any speed after that is a pure nightmare .
thanks in advance
Nick

You need to re-balance them
If you plan on throwing it off a cliff lemme have those 97 headlights

re-balnce ??? hmmm i watched the guy balnce them at my local hobby shop and they balanced out perfect he put 1.50 weights on inside of each rim.
hmmm maybe road force tire balancer might help.

definitely get them re-balanced. maybe try another shop for the re-balance. i watched the guy balance all 4 of my tires a few months back, and they all balanced out to zero on the machine. sure enough, at around 60mph, i would get a pretty good shake in the wheels. maybe not as violent as you described yours, but bad enough that you wouldn't want to drive on it for fear of breaking some other suspension component. i brought it back, and they didn't want to believe me at first, but they went ahead and re-did it. this time a more experienced guy did it, and sure enough, every one of the tires was off. they attributed it to operator error (it was a new guy that did it the first time), because the experienced guy used the same machine, and after he did it, it was smooth all the way up to 80mph where there was a very slight vibration (but it did that with the old tires, too, so i think the balancing is OK -- both my CVs are split, so i'm thinking that's what's causing that vibe).
re-balance it. it can't hurt, and if they don't believe you, let them drive it (or take them for a drive in it) so they can see for themselves. with all your new suspension components up front, i'm not sure what else it could be.

thanks guys for all responses,
I had the tires rebalanced on "road force" balancer
and now the vibration is gone !!!
the balance was quite pricey $17.50 per tire - but it was well worth it.
had the car in for aligment and the tech showed me how badly those tires were out of round BTW i'm on brand new Falkens 512
he had the front end on the lift and put the car in gear - front tires were spinning very irregularly
first i thought gezzzz i got me some bad tires , but after rebalance things are back to normal now.
I will get my money back from the first guy that did my tires - but weird thing though - i stood right next to him and watched him balance the tires and everything balanced out nicely
maybe those Falkens need to be " road force" balanced.

Well - sometimes someone else opinion can be misleading - i did plenty of reserch before i decided to buy those kumho tires( Tirerack had some good reviews but some pleople simply have no idea on how to write reviews about tires)
And goin from michelins with over 50k miles on them to brand new kumhos made my handling really sloopy
i'm a tru beliver that good set of tires is the best handling performance upgrade - period.
