Depends on what your going for.

Performance :
y pipe, catback exhaust, mevi if your auto, ECU upgrades, pulley, STS ??

Looks:
Lowering Springs, Sturt/shocks, FSTB, RSB , Body kit, HID's, Red Clears ??

there is good list to work from.

Good luck

being as theres no ecu upgrade for the 98 mevi isn't an option, i would say y pipe, cat, catback for power. shocks, struts, fstb for handling.

Read the FAQ. BlackonBlack98, the only substantial power increase you mentioned is Y-Pipe. And 96White, good shocks and springs are not for looks. Neither are FSTB or RSB, you can't see either of those.

I would get a budget Y~$180
Get some used springs in the FS section~$100-$120
Get an inexpensive catback(obx)~$200
NX wet kit~$500
UDP & belts~$140
cheap FSTB~ $30

I think that about spends the entire $1200.....

What is that supposed to mean? The reason I know that intake, cat, catback don't make that much power is because I have them and am not impressed very much. Sorry guys, I'm in a negative mood today.

It depends on the direction you want to take the Max but I'd say go for overall package. Homeade intake, $25 gives that oh so important sound. Greddy Catback, $500-$600 gives slight gains, sounds the best and then you can sleep at night for knowing you have the best exhaust. Tint, $200 takes away the fish tank situation. Budget Y, $200 best $$$ you'll ever spend. UDP, $200 helps put all that added power down. DC's, $40 and looks hel!a good. Some of this changes a little depending if your 5spd or auto. Thats it you've spent $1200, now go install it all. When your done installing buy more.

I'm not riducling you, its more of a constructive criticism. I think that people should consider a drop more than a visual mod. So you can honestly say that you don't mind having the increased handling because of the lower center of gravity. I just don't want you to portray to the kid that being slammed is cool. I can't stand to see people in civics and 'tegs bouncing all over the place. Actually, I hate to say that, its all good because it looks awesome when your not moving at all. Afterall, thats what cars are for right...sitting still in parking lots!
