APEXi

Does APEXi make decent exhaust parts? I'm looking at their carbon fiber muffler. But I'm skeptical about it because it's made from carbon fiber. What are your guys' opinions of it? Also, would all mufflers require welding to be put onto my car? Cause I'm not sure I could find a shop in my town that would put on a muffler that I bought from someone else. Thanks for your help.

Carbon-fiber doesn't belong on a muffler. Why bother if you won't be able to see it. Also since that type of muffler( coffee can, ricer) will make the car sound like ***. Why bother? Yes A'PEXi makes great quality parts even the rice ones.

Ok thanks. I just want to do something to my car. I have $70, I can't get a Y-Pipe or a decent intake with that. Anybody have recommendations?

Oh yeah one more thing: My car has about 93400 miles on it, and I bough it used in Sept '03 so I don't exactly know the history of the engine. Would you fellus think it'd be a good idea to get a tune up done to the engine? Or would that be a waste of money at this point in time?

With the $70 you have buy all the stuff you need for a tune-up. Filters, plugs, that stuff.
