New Pics Of Maxima

Well here are the pics of my MAXIMA. It is at the Paint Booth until 2/16/04. The reason for that is so the clear coat hardens all the way. Color is BrickYard from 350z and the code is AX8. It is way darker than the Ruby Pearl that was on the car before repainting. It did not work for me.

The work that was done to the car was bondo on the left front fender, left front door, and rear right door. Keyhole was shaved off and spoiler is going on when I get the car home. 2K2 Maxima moldings are on the car also. They are bigger and thicker and look better. More pics will come.

Enjoy and tell me what you think.

my cardomain website is under construction right now so some things are missing.

to answer the dash question, the whole interior is off a Infiniti I30. everything was swapped from dash to backseats. and i know the door handels are not chrome and the plastic is not wood. i painted those pieces gun metal metallic cause it looks better and makes the whole inside of the car black

more pics will come cause i go pick up the car tomorrow. The paintjob cme out very cheap i think cause my bro and i did the work and we rented a paint booth.

so the rundown is $200 for the painth booth.
materials $125
paint $250 (burgundy is expensive especially off a 350z)

So came out to around $700 for the whole car and it took me about a month 1/2 cause alot of bondo was used on the rear right door, front left door and front left fender plus the moldins cause they were off a 2k2 max that was rolled over.

body shop would have charged me more so thanks to my bro. he painted and did a excellent proffesional job.
sorry for the long post.

Wow, i really dont like that I30 dash, it looks so aged compared to the max's. Other than that, the paint looks great!

I think he was just making a personal opinion statement about the styling of it. It might not look as "sporty" nut hey who else has that dash in their max?

well i brought the car home today and it looks great. all i have to do now is paint all my moldings that go around the windows(they are chome and i wantthem to be black like se models) and put them on. i will do that tomorrow if the weather is good and will take pics of it.

plus i have to buff my whole car so it will be smooth and shiny before the meet.

No, im not kidding you. The reason you like the dash is the reason i dont. Our preference. Also, just because it was produced "a whole year later" doesnt mean it doesnt look dated. The top vents and the whole square deal just look odd. The maxima has a more flowing vent area. Oh well, i guess you dont see a maxima with an I30 interior everyday...

i agree that you dont see that dash in a max everyday. and good job its lookks very clean but my preference i rather a 4th gen dash over any dash out there. i love that extra din so i can put my cdplayer and the 7" microvision in the dual din

Look at it again, either you have an I30 converted interior (which i doubt) or you just need to look at the interior again...

moldings are very simple to come off. they are on clips and a couple of small nuts and screws that you can locate when you open the doors.
