What type of shocks to get?

I need to get new shocks for my max, and I want to go aftermarket. I want a sportier ride, but a confortable one as well. I am not going to lower my car, unless the springs need to be replaced as well. I was thinking either tokico blues, or kyb gr-2's. Any thoughts? Cost is an issue, so I am only considering non-adjustables. If I need springs, some advice as to which ones would also be appreciated (combination of springs and shocks). Nothing over a 1.5" drop.

Thanks guys

I have GR-2's with maxspeedsprings(less than 1.5 drop) The ride is sporty and pritty stuff compared to stock shocks, but the dramatic handleing improvment is worth it.
