Swirl valve mod question

O.k. all you cali-spec guys that have done this...I need some help. I saw the thread last week, and I understand that the actuator needs to be capped off..but what do you do with the remaining lines? do you cap those off too and leave them tucked away somewhere? Thanks in advance.

These are in all 2000-2001 cars federal or cali i just found out. I just took them out of the lower manifold and had the holes welded up. But you would probably get a answer better in the 5th gen forum.

Cap both the actuator and the vaccum line with rubber caps.

The swirl valve limits air intake below 2500 rpm regardless of condition. If you bypass it, it will remain in open position.

The swirl valves are ment to swirl the intake air so the fuel is asperated(sp?) better into the intake air for a cleaner burn. They are only active when your car is cold and open above 2500 RPM's so the engine can breath correctly under hard accelleration.

They are always open once your engine reaches normal operating temperature.
