KYB GR-2's

Alright.. my shocks are going bad. Need new shocks..... GR-2's are inexpensive. I am a stock 96 SE.How many poeple out there have GR-2s on thier Maxima? Do you have them paired with stock springs? H&R's? Eibachs? I was thinking... since they are pretty much and OEM replacement I would pair them with the H&R's since they are softer. That way when you ride in my car it will feel somewhat like a Maxima still.

I have them with Intrax springs. The drop is 1.7". KYB people say that you shouldn't drop more than 1.5" with the GR-2's, oh well. I can't complain.

I have them with my Suspension Tech spring. Great control.

They are not just an OEM replacement. Gr-2 is about a 15% stiffer strut then stock. This info is from KYB

I was thinkin about getting some GR2's as well... I've heard from alot of people that they are a really good strut, but I still havent found out what the life expectancy is for them if their going to be used with lowering springs...Anyone on here know??

I have GR-2s paired with H&R springs. I'm very happy with them. I think they are a perfect shock for these springs and would work just as well (if not better) with the OEM springs.

As long as the drop is 1.5" or under, KYB will replace the shock if it dies.
