Lightweight flywheel ??

I'm not a donating member so I can't search the forums but I did the best I could at browsing and couldn't find much information.

I purchased a new ACT stage 2 clutch kit for my 95 Maxima GXE and also purchased the 407 dollar lightweight flywheel from Stillen's website. After receiving the flywheel, I see there is no ring gear attached to it and looking at the pictures on the site I see the ring gear on the flywheel. I also now see that it states "Uses the factory timing ring/gear from the stock unit." My dad is a pretty good mechanic and was telling me that when you try and remove the stock ring gear on most vehicles that you damage it in some way. He told me to go ahead and buy a new ring gear from the internet or Nissan dealership. He also told me that it's not a good idea to use a steel ring gear with an aluminum flywheel unless you heat up one metal and freeze another while placing them together then let cool to normal temp to properly mold them together. What are your guys' thoughts on this? Did I buy the right flywheel or should I have bought a different one? What about purchasing a new ring gear, can I remove the original and re-use?

All help is appreciated!

you wont damage the stock ring gear, just unbolt it off the stok flywheel and bolt it to the new one and make shure its not bent up and all the teeth are straight or your crank position sensor wont function right.
