Info on b-pipes and mufflers

Well I just got my Warpspeed Y-Pipe, going to install it tomorrow, I cant wait. But now I'm in my performace mod stage, so I was considering getting an aftermarket b-pipe and even a muffler. Heres the catch, I'm not a fan of a lot of noise, I don't want to sound like rice, I want it to sound as close to stock as possible. Will adding a b-pipe and muffler change this? What suggestions do you guys have on b pipes and mufflers. Just so you have an idea of what I mean, I think that my intake noise at WOT is too much for me, let me know, thanks!

get a resonated b-pipe.

www.budgetexhaust.com click the top link, not the bottum exhaust part. keep in mind, prices are canadian. many people suggest a 5th gen muffler to finish off our exhaust. either way, make sure you get a resonated b pipe if you want quiet.

if u wanna keep it quiet, get apexi WS catback... it'll fit perfectly cuz u have a 95.

quietest aftermarket muffler is magnaflow street series. u can also consider get 5th gen muffler, looks nice.

any aftermarket b-pipe with resonator will keep it quiet, but louder than stock. for NA all u need is 2.25" inlet all the way. resonator will not affect exhaust flow.

my current setup sounds like this:

3,000rpm or lower = nice
3,000rpm or higher = rice

warpspeed y-pipe removes two of my pre-cat, some rice sound is expected at higher rpm, but i don't care. cuz i rev 98% under 3,000rpm, and with magnaflow muffler it sounds nice and deep.

well if I buy a aftermarket b pipe with resonator, where will teh increase in power come from? whats the purpose of it? also, I think I would go with a 5th gen muffler for the sake of trying to make it sound liek stock.

I was wanting the same thing. I got it. refer to these threads and if you have any other questions, just ask:

Hope this helps....I will try to get some pics up this weekend. I got my 5th gen muffler on, and it looks really good. I am not quite through with the bumper, but when I am, it will look excellent. (I had to cut the hole a little larger in the bumper because the 5th gen one has two pipes.)

By all set, what do you mean? LIke mroe HP gains with minimal loudness? Of course I know my exhaust will sound loud, but I'm trying not to get really loud, or even moderately loud.

Someone tell me the sound that will come out of this:

Warpspeed Y-Pipe, Budget B-Pipe with resonator (or any other bpipe with resonator), stock muffler or 5th gen muffler??

Let me know thanks

Well I just finished installing the Y-pipe at 3:30 AM eastern...man what a job, had to run to home depot 3 times to get tools. The first thing I would suggest is getting some kind of WD-40 liquid, I used liquid wrench, and man it worked wonders. I was able to get the bolts between the cat and the end of the y pipe off with just liquid wrench and a 1/4" rachet set. The rest was way more difficult. Spray the bolts often with the liquid wrench, get a larger size rachet, like 1/2" for more torque. We eventually went and got a breaker bar, and that did the job. After you get the bolts off, put some anti-seize thread gunk, so you wont have this problem again in the future.

And one more thing, I can hear the difference, its very low in sound, not loud at all, I like it, its mean.
