Question for Big brake guys??
I am wanting to upgrade to bigger brakes-300zx brakes not big enough, and want to know what rims will clear the larger calipers? so far this is the only thing keeping me from getting them.

8" or 8.5" wide rims. Deep lip is a no no. It really depends on the spoke design. If you want to be safe, just get rims that are known to clear big brakes. It's 90% safe to say 8"-8.5" with 35mm-40mm will clear big brakes. I had about 3 sets of rims that cleared. Volk racing TE37 18X8.5 with 40mm. Volk Racing LE37K 18X8.5 with 40mm. Konig Tantrum 17X8 with 40mm.
