Determining between 1999 and 1999.5 Max?
Determining between 1999 and 1999.5 Max?
I got on the GD for the Warpspeed Y Pipe, and the -very nice- lady at warpspeed needs to know if I have a 99 or 99.5 max.. She said to check if an o2 sensor was between the cat and resinator. Anyone know of any easier ways to find out.. If not, I dont even know what the resinator looks like
thanks
thanks

Thanks for the compliments on my color, guys. I happen to agree that it is such a great color.
9maxima99sebose, I was shooting for a sterling mist, because I didn't know the crimson blaze existed, until I saw this one. I had to have it right then. I drove 6 hours just to pick it up...one way. I got the crimson blaze, with black leather, power everything, auto climate, and 5 spd. I love it!!!
SuperChris, I wish you would have picked it up. They are rare. Plus, then we could both have one. It is all good though, yours is still sweet, IMO.

My 99.5 was built 1/99. I drove 2 hours one way for my car, its loaded with all but heated seats, and heated mirrors.
I like your guys Red, its awesome, but at the same time, the Popo seem to pick up on red cars easier.

Yes I love my red color, im glad I jumped on this car right away, I cant beleive it sat in the lot for 4 months, but around here bright red doesnt sell as easily. max is meant for a family car, not many bright red family cars. Anyways, as far as the popo pulling over red cars, i havent been pulled over once, and I live in a fairly large metro area. I also have no front plate (illegal), and HIDs. I guess they dont want to offend such a nice looking car!
Aeroeck, becareful, make sure you specify fed or cali emmissions. I told them mine was federal, but since I said mine was a 99.5, they sent me cali thinking all 99.5s were Cali. Well, after clearing up the mistake, hopefully they wont make the same mistake with you.

Could someone list or throw me a link of the additional options that Limiteds have?
yes, masaccio, stock if it has the badges on the front doors(if you will look closely...it says "SE Limited".......which is where we get the SE-L) they are a 99.5.
Here are the only things that limiteds have over the regular 99's:
1. badging on the sides that say SE Limited
2. Titanium color wheels and "maxima" on back rather than silver
3. I think you could only get Crimson Blaze in SE-L...I have never seen otherwise(of course you could get it in 93, but those were the only two color years)
4. Floor mats are supposed to have SE-Limited on them.
5. Leather seats are stamped "SE-Limited" and are perforated leather.
6. They are usually decked out with a lot of options because it is the end of the body style and they loaded it up with stuff they had left over from other years. However, every once in a while, you will see one with virtually nothing on it. (mine doesn't have heated seats or heated mirrors, but everything else you could get here in the States.....Canada could get Viscous Limited Slip Differential)
That should wrap it up. Hope that helped. Any other questions...let me know...

I have a tan interior, mines auto
But the tan goes well with the red, no complaints here, I just love how the red looks in every weather condition. Especially when its rainy for some reason. And during the day, the red just covers a white car in reflection, makes the white car look pink.

Thanks for the info, Brudaddy. I'm looking at two black/black leather 99s, one is in Chicago and the other is an SE-L in Houston. As much as I'd like the perforated leather and SE-Limited, it's not worth the drive for me.
You should take some photos of your interior and post them on your Cardomain page, I'd love to see that.
BTW, what did you mean by this: "2. Titanium color wheels and "maxima" on back rather than silver"

They are just a little darker;
titanium=not silver...not gunmetal...somewhere in between. The word "maxima" on the back is the same color as the wheels...not as bright silver as the hamburger symbol of Nissan.

go for something else other than black/blk or champagne with tan....they are so common. Everyone seems to have a black on black. Prob, because they look pretty good when they are fixed up. Man do they look awesome when they are clean! Bur so does Red!!! ha ha
