how reliable is our maxima alarm? I was thinking about getting a basic viper or clifford. Is it worth it??? I dont want to spend too much because I know that if a expierenced car booster wants to take my car, he can, regardless of the alarm.

 

i like my avital, alot of the alarms are made by DEI, just with different badges on them. I had to get one put on b/c the stock one just wouldnt arm itself no matter WHAT i did. Good luck

 

I pulled the fuse on my stock alarm....
best thing I ever did. That will stop very few people who are trying to steal my car, and I always hit it in my pocket, its pretty embarassing to have it go off in the mourn or evening w/ neighbors around. Plus some thing was wrong with it so it would go off for no reason at all... go figure. (may be a low battery in my fob, not sure but that was 5 mounths ago and it still didnt die)

 

I just dont know which system to go with. I cant do remote start because I have a manual. I think i still want the LED remote though. Would be kind of cool to monitor your car... like knight rider or something.
