Hi guys.. I have a problem with my Maxima.. Its been goin on about for 3 weeks... In my driveway, I reverse park all the time, I dunno y, but I do. I noticed about 2 fridays ago, when I was pullin up into my driveway goin in Reverse my engine just shut off.. Like the music was playin, heat was runnin, it was just like my car was in the "ON" position. I put the gear back into park, and took the key out the ignition and started the car back up and it reversed fine. It did the same thing that following saturday night and sunday night. Since then I havent parked in reverse anymore. 2 days later, I took my car to this place called "Auto Trans" its a place in Delaware where they specialize in Transmissions. They ran a dianogist test on my car and said they found no transmission problem at all. They mentioned something about my check engine light comin on, and they said it might be a engine problem. I remember last saturday I was reversin out of my friends neighborhood, the whole entire way. At a point, my car kept jerkin, like it felt like i kept hittin the gas, letting go, hittin the gas, lettin go. Yesterday, I was at a mall parkin lot, and I wanted to reverse out my spot, and as soon as I put the gear in reverse, the car shut off.. Put it in park, then started the car and one when I put it in reverse, it shut off again. Tried again and it was fine. Today I was reversin out my driveway and when I hit the acclertor the car shuts off.. This is really startin to worry me and it feels like a big problem. My check engine light is still on but I havent done anything to see y its on... But is there anything I can do, or does some1 know y my car is doin this? Thanx everyone...
