Swirl solenoids keep going bad after engine swap
Hi there, got a 99 junkyard engine installed in 99 max. CEL came up - diagnosed to bad swirl solenoid, replaced with new. CEL reset. After driving for 3-4 times, CEL comes back again with same problem. Why would this solenoid keep going bad? Anything to do with engine swap?
Last mechanic to see the car complained that the previous mechanic had damaged the screw on ECM that is used to check the CEL. Could that have anything to do with this - say if the screw is not fully turned back counterclockwise?
