all kinds of info....

The questions on my mind now are:

What years of the 300zx are compatible? This is coming from Turbo applications right?

What is the difference in size of the 4th gen Max rotors vs. the 300zx rotors?

4 piston calipers right? and ours are 2piston?

could I use my stock calipers with 300zx rotors?( i ask this because i might not be able to afford calipers for a little while, so if its worth it just to buy 300zx rotors I might just do that....)

Whats the price of all this going to be?

Sounds interesting.... How much larger (ballpark) would you say the calipers are?
Also do you know what size the rotors are? Any what size wheels would I need to go with (assuming 15" are out the window)

Thanks-

And I should mention my main problem with going with 300ZX brakes is this:
You have to mill down the rotors to make them work. This would be a hassle to do every time you need to replace the rotors.. (since I like to go to the track and will eventually wear out the rotors I figure)

well i am running right now 2k2 rotors and calipers and i have 17s on my car. 2k2 rotors are lighter, bigger adn calipers are different also on 2k2 maximas. those brakes are the best that were offered on any max.

Yea this makes me very curious- How do you get bigger rotors that are also lighter? Wouldnt this be counter-productive since rotors need mass to store heat w/o getting too hot?

Please tell all about your setup!! thanks!

vsamoylov, are there any local maxima meets that you guys get together? I am in San Jose. I would like to know how much it cost to do what you did and what parts are needed? You can e mail me at o.go@sbcglobal.net if you got the time, thanks. Spaniard, what did you do to save weight with your car? and what difference was it with the 15' slips? I was going to go with 16' slips but haven't yet, I was going to get some GC coilovers with AGX's maybe?

i dont know now if i will make that meet but 90% i will come with my bro and my friends.

the reason for that is my car will be going under a huge modification when it gets warm. and that modification is engine swap. i am boldly daring to do put a vq35 and a 6speed into my maxima. my bro will be doing most of the work and i help hime out alot. and my 2k vq30 i will put in his car with my auto cause he does not want a stick anymore cause his wife will drive the car. so when it gets warm outside(i hope it will be warm outside very soon lol) car will go under the knife for the second time. cant wait and this time i will post pics.
