Needs to get a damn raise!
I received mine today, and DAMN!
This thing fit better than it looked....and it looks sooooo sweet.

Here are my observations.....

Though it is a 2 piece unit, the way it is constructed would not promote leaks. It uses a flange with a pipe that extends into the rest of the Y. It also uses a genuine Nissan crush gasket there.

The finish is sweet. You just gotta see it to believe it.

It is whisper quiet. Of course, I am running stock cat-back, but the noise level has not increased one bit, except above 5000 RPM, when it produces some kind of a whine. (It's a good sounding whine, though.....)

My butt dyno sez at least 10 HP gain....probably more like 15, and certainly noticeable from 2500+ RPMs.

Did I mention that the finish is insanely sweet?

Peace! (and be sure to scrape up your own roadkills...It's only polite....I hate scrubbing my front bumper cover on a recently spanked Acura....)

Is the new Stillen Y pipe stainless steel? Other ones are not, which is ridiculous. Also, would my car be too loud with an intake, Y pipe, B pipe, and muffler (Stillen), or would it be loud but the sweet sound would overcome the loudness....thanks

The new Stillen is not SS. It looks to be JetHot coated 14 ga. mild steel.
If this JetHot coated Y is like other JetHot coated products, I'm sure the pipe will outlast the car.
I had a Drake short tube header that was coated with JetHot for my old Rabbit GTi (circa 1984), and that thing looked brand new until the day I wrecked it autocrossing 8 years later.

I, too, like the SS pipes, but I can understand that manufacturers are trying to keep prices down to stay competitive.
I realize that most on this forum would rather buy a quality product over a cheaper, inferior unit, but you'd be surprised just how many people shop on price.

I am, indeed, jealous. That thang looks sweeeet. I'm curious though, does the new Stillen Y-pipe make more hp than the "original" stillen y-pipe?(Trying to avoid using the word "old")

Did they improve the flex joint as well

How was the inside diameter of the Flex Joint. The Y-pipe I got from stillen had a very restrictive Flex joint which wasted all that mandrel bends

From what I was able to see, the I.D. of the flex joint looked to be the same as the pipe.

Yeah, it the new Y-Pipe. The original design was a single piece, whereas the new pipe is a two piece design.
