It wont stay on help!!!

sup guys i just want to know if any body had this problem before, every day in the morning when i try to start up my car it wont stay on and i have to start up or keep on tryin for about 3 to 5 till stays on i dont know whats wrong with it some ppl said it might be cold but i dont think soo. if any body can help that will be really cool.

I think I may be having the same or a very similar problem. In the morning or when it is cold it starts and then it dies unless i give it gas.

try to pull some codes from the ECU. read the sticky at the top of the page on how to do that and what the codes mean.

how do u clean the trottle body do u have to take off any electronic stuff before u clean it or what??

You're in cali?

I doubt it's a problem with it being really cold. Sure the motor is cold in the morning after sitting at night, but in your climate that shouldn't be a problem.

thx alot guys that really helped but some guy told me its ok to do it with a brake cleaner and he did it in front of me do u guys think that's right or what

thx guys now its workin better and it start up from the first time in the mornin and the throttle body was the prob.
