I have ground control right now with tokicos. Had them for 4 months. The ride is very bouncy. I posted something regarding same problem earlier, but didn't get enough feedback/info.

Every time I turn the steering wheels there is a grinding noise that comes from the front struts. Seems to be the upper mounts of the ground controls rubbing against the upper strut mount. I tried putter some sort of rubber in between. It removed the noise temporarily, but it came back. Probably the rubber wore off.

The shop I installed the GC at says it is normal with GC. But I don't think so. It is WAY too loud. Anybody got GC with this problem or had this problem and got it solved.

sounds like you need to change the upper strut mount bearing. Its a plastic bearing you can get from Nissan. Another simple and cheaper way to do it is get some old dust boots and cut em put and put it between the aluminum top hat and upper strut mount. I did this awhile ago and im clunk free

mine did the same thing you need a new upper mount bearings on top of the metal bracket of the spring.
and the reason that your car is bouncy the car is to low i had the same problem the shock needs more travel to obsorbe the bumps so i lifted up the car like 1' I hope that solves your problem.

is that a 97 ground effects you have on it. I'm thinking of doing that soon.

gtr_rider: The kit is just a regular 96 Stillen kit. The custom grill is actually a grill that covers the two black openings in the front bumper. You can't really tell from the picture.

maximadan96: Thanks for the tip. I think that might be it. I raised my car today two fingers in the back. Three fingers in the front. The ride is a little better. I will definitely get the bearing. *Do I just order it at any nissan parts dealer? And you say it goes between the aluminum top hat and the upper mount right?
