does anyone else have this problem? i got my rotors resurfaced about 10 months ago and my pads replaced, but my car is starting to shake again pretty badly while i brake. anyone have any suggestions on some rotors that won't warp so easily? i heard you can't resurface drilled or slotted rotors and if thats the case then i don't want those. oh and at stoplights my rpms drop to around 500rpm and the whole car vibrates. how do i adjust the idle speed? i remember reading that theres a screw i can turn somewhere. thanks in advance for the help

hrmm...that's really weird. i doubt it's the rotors that's shaking your car. did you torque your wheel lugs to proper spec? when you installing the rotors, did you push it all the way in then secured the torque member and the caliper? usually new rotors takes about couple days (300mi or so) to break in. there's no need to resurface drilled or slotted rotors. it's plug and play application.

try checking for a loose caliper, or even the wheel before stressing about it.. and well if that isn't the problem, get new disc's and brake pads.. not too spendy.. And also could be the calipers, or the fluid level in your breaking system maybe bleed tham also...
good luck
good luck
also...usually new brake pads tend to have very tight fitment issues at first, but after some driving and braking it shouldn't squeel or rattle.

You can resurface cross drill/slotted or any other Drill type rotors.Originally Posted by SoLid97SE
