Illuminas with stock GXE springs?
Does anyone have this set-up? Are the stock GXE springs too soft to take advantage of the added strut performance? I'm just trying to maximize performance and save money. Between cost, performance, and lowering; lowering is the least of my goals. It seems struts add more to the performance package than springs? I'm trying to decide between cheaper struts (GR-2?) and springs (maxspeed), Illuminas with the stock springs, or should I bite the bullet and grab the Illumina package with tokico springs?
P.S. I've read the maxmods info. on suspension so many times, I actually printed it out for reference while shopping on line. It's good stuff! I just would like a bit more feedback from people with these different set-ups before I buy.

But it doesn't mean I won't post
Honestly, if you're looking for strictly handling without a drop, I'd definately opt for the Illuminas. Shocks do make a bigger difference in handling than springs. Many people always overlook that fact. I know of a few on aftermarket struts and stock springs that can hang with the best.
If you really want a slightly stiffer spring, I bet there's a lot of members that would sell you their SE springs for cheap, definately post a WTB in the forums.
Also for later on, a rear sway bar will also help quite a bit, especially with stock springs.
