Question about Suspension...

Ok, I know this has been discussed a million times, but what additional OEM parts do I need to replace if I am upgrading my suspension? I have already bought MaxSpeed springs, and I am going to get in on the KYB GR2 GD going on.

I remember that someone wrote up a good thread about what parts ABSOLUTELY need to be replaced along with prices and quantity. Does anyone happen to have a link to that? Or could do a search for me please? (God I really wish I could go ahead and donate so I could search! hint hint... )

My car has approx. 130k on it, and about 40k of it is just highway miles. I know that the dust boots absolutely need to be replaced because I can see they are ripped. What else do I need?

Thanks a lot!

dust boots

Get KYB dust boots from tirerack. SB-103 and SB-108. You're gonna have to call in and order them. They are 12 bucks each and shipping... so its a pretty good deal considering they have the bump stops buit in.

also a little grease near the ends helps them go on on better. Good Luck

Thanks for the reply... Is that all I need? I don't need bearings or anything or maybe strut mounts?

I just want to replace the parts that have failed or will fail soon (@ 120k now) because I don't want to have to get back under there anytime soon after I do this suspension upgrade.

Thanks!

My max has 145k and the strut mounts and bearings were fine. if you want put some more grease inside the strut bearings like i did.

also new rubber parts for the strut assemlies came with my shocks so those were replaced.

hope this helps gl.
