Are there any differences with a 99 max over other 4th gens?

I am getting close to closing a deal on a 99 maxima SE and I was wondering if there were any tweaks or changes in this year compared to the other years. I dont know too much about the 4th gens, because I lounge in the 3rd gen forum all the time Also, whats the difference with the SE-L and the SE? Could I add some things in the future to make it an SE-L?

SE-L is the way to go

I just got a silver SE-L. The differences between '98 and '99 on maxima's is the Bose stereo face plate (if the car has it). It looks a little more modern. I don't think there are any other changes. Between the SE and SE-L:
On the SE-L you get Titanium tinted wheels, guages (not bright white), SE-L Floor mats, SE-L badges on the front doors, and if you have leather seats, the SE-L is embroided on the seat. With my silver color, the wheels look sweet. I think the SE-L should help RE-SALE to (hoefully!).
I have heard some people say that all they made in '99 was a SE-L. I don't think that is true because I saw 2 regular '99 SE's at the local Nissan dealership. Hope this helped.

The 99's are the slowest. They share a few intake parts and exhaust parts from the 2ks. I also know they are a bit heavier as well.

SE-Limited

The 99 i am told has more insulation, theirfore heavier.

The five speed SE-Limited vs 97 SE 5 Speed that i drove last year, i believe the 97 would have won in a race. The 99 fit and finnish is nicer, IMO.

All 4th gen are great... Get the 5 speed SE any year and you will not be dissapointed.

Peace,

PS I was checking the spell checker...It does not work //YET
